Tony Lowden

Executive Director Biography

A native of North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Tony Lowden recognized at an early age that life was a series of battles and that God’s intervention was the only way he would be victorious. With this thought fresh in his mind, at the tender age of 13, Tony accepted Jesus as his personal Savior and at 15 acknowledged his calling to Minister the Word of God. He was the Chief Consultant for the Democratic and Republican Caucus of the California State Legislature. For 12 years, he worked in government, lobbying for complex industries including pharmaceuticals, aerospace, education, water, transportation, electricity, technology, land development, as well as banking and finance. He previously served as the Director of Eli Lilly Government Affairs and the Government Executive for the U.S. for AstraZeneca. Lowden is currently the Director of Campus Clubs Inc, which reaches out to kids who are at risk in the City of Macon. Campus Clubs, a non-profit organization, was established in the spring of 1994. Burdened by the many needs in the inner city communities, a committee was formed to discuss those present needs. One of the problems was a lack of leadership in the community and there were a variety of cultural and environmental factors that impacted the health of inner city neighborhoods. After a season of planning, we opened our doors in the fall of that year. To our dismay, only three young men showed up. However, that following week, thirty students participated and participation has continued to grow. We believe that because of our efforts, many young people in the inner city community have become productive and responsible adults.
